The art may be too raw for some but, to be honest, we can't imagine the series with any other art style. Especially if said art style looked clean. That's just no fit for the Chainsaw Man world at all.

8 SIMPLE BUT GOOD PLOT
Chainsaw Manfollows the story of our main character Denji, who is down on his luck. Nothing is going his way and the guy is just generally unhappy. Later on, he loses his life while killing Devils for the Yakuza. His chainsaw devil dog, Pochita, sacrifices himself and rebirths Denji as Chainsaw Man. From there on Chainsaw Man joins a devil hunting organization and hunts Devils with other Devil Hunters.
We witness Denji growing firsthand through relationships with new characters as they hunt demons. It's a very simple but effective plot.
7 CHARACTERS
The characters ofChainsaw Manare arguably one of the main reasons you'll want to be reading. Each of them offers something different and new to the tale which will leave you hoping character after character will return to the next panel. These different characters keep things from losing its luster and keepsChainsaw Manfresh.
There's astereotype that shonen characters can't be deep and this series subverts those expectations. Their various skills and characterization definitely make the series.
6 COMPELLING WORLD
The world ofChainsaw Manis a compelling one that has set an amazing base for a lot of world-building. It offers a very indie and dark type feeling that words just can't describe. The fact that Yakuza are paying guys to kill devils should be enough info to see where things are going from that standpoint. Heck, honestly one look at Chainsaw Man and you've got a good idea of where the world is going in this manga.
If there was one word that could describe the world of Chainsaw Man it would be raw. Things feel like they've been thrown through a weird and badass grit filter. We mean that in the best way possible.

5 GORE
Holy wow, this series is full of gore to the max. We're talkingDemon Slayer levels of gore during these epic battles. Maybe even more. The action scenes are on such a grand scale that seeing the blood splatter is actually a highlight of the reading and has some of the coolest art to make it even better.
If you've ever played Suda 51'sNo More Heroes, you'll know exactly what we're talking about. What more do you expect from a guy named Chainsaw Man with a chainsaw on his face?
4 CHARACTER AND ENEMY DESIGNS
Speaking of the guy with the chainsaw on his face, let's take some time to talk about character designs because man, they are absolutely perfect. Each character looks absolutely perfect for this world and just seeing them in a shot compliments a scene.
The best part about these designs is that one look at them and you literally feel the manga. Not only that but with that same one look and you can tell a lot about that character. Personality and all. We feel that those are the marks of powerful character design.
3 CHAINSAW DOG
Ok, there is absolutely no way you can resist this cute little guy. Pochita is the best thing to come out since Baby Yoda, no questions asked. This cute little canine chainsaw pup is the reason the whole series gets set into motion. Once Denji saves his life Pochita becomes his pet and sidekick, helping hunt and take out demons left and right.
Sadly in order to save Denji and in turn make him into Chainsaw Man, Pochita had to become his heart. This heals Denji's wounds on a crazy level. The last thing we hear from Pochita is a request for Denji to show him more of his dreams in exchange for being his heart.

2 CHAINSAW MAN HIMSELF
Denji is a character that is flawed big time, mostly when it comes to love and relationships. This makes for a great character that not only has to clean himself up in his Devil Hunter career but one that isn't perfect in his normal life either.
He's a homeless zombie with nowhere to go but the Devil Hunters and that makes us want to watch him grow to be better. He's a main character with down to earth goals that are actually achievable.
1 THE MYSTERY
The series has so many plot points that are open to theories and different interpretations it'll have you re-reading chapters over and over again looking for answers. If you take one look at Reddit under anythingChainsaw Manyou'll see post upon post of fans with different theories.
Whether it's about a devil war, what's so special about Denji's heart, or theories about Makima there's always going to be something present in the series that makes you wonder if there's something deeper to it and what that deeper meaning is.
